Are you hoping that the San Pedro waterfront can be turned into a pedestrian-friendly, low-traffic area that is integrated with downtown San Pedro? The San Pedro Coordinated Plan Subcommittee of the Port Community Advisory Committee (PCAC) is holding a meeting to present an alternative sustainability plan for the San Pedro Waterfront that the Port did not include in its Draft Environmental Impact Report/Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIR/DEIS).

Got Plants?

Need plants for your garden? The South Coast Botanical Garden will be holding their annual plant sale on Saturday, October 4 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Everything from gemlike succulents to spring flowers and five gallon trees will be available. In addition to the Native Plant Society, other participants will be Wild Birds Unlimited, Peter Sharp’s succulents, and Ricardo’s Nursery.

There will be a Member’s Preview night on Friday, October 3 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Entry is $15 per/person in advance if you RSVPd by September 19, otherwise it will be $20 at the door, the night of the event.

Entry to the plant sale is free on Saturday. The sale benefits the Nonprofit South Coast Botanic Garden Foundation. Cash or checks will be accepted. The South Coast Botanic Garden is located at 26300 Crenshaw Blvd.
