Get ready for the Palisades Annual Meeting & Social this Tuesday, May 11th! Come meet and join fellow residents, neighbors, parents and students. This year’s format will include interactive Q&A sessions with speakers and live entertainment. There is free, limited seating so arrive early.

Live, on stage will be:

Entertainment will be provided by White Point Elementary School students: the bentriliquist, the tappers, american honey and other amazing entertainers. Peggy and Bruce Lindquist of the Corner Store will also be making an appearance.

We will be holding an election for 2010-11 board members. We need your help! Please consider joining the board to help our community. The PRA board meets ten times per year on the second Tuesday of each month (excluding August and December) at 7:00 pm at Angels Gate Cultural Center.

This would also be a good time to renew your membership if you haven’t done so already. It’s only $15 per house or apartment. You can also renew your membership securely online by credit card or paypal account.

Our membership committee is now accepting dues for 2010. We cannot accomplish our goals without help from all residents of the Palisades. Dues-paying members keep our newsletter and website in production and you up to date.

Dues for renters or homeowners are a minimum of $15 a year. Memberships are valid from January through December. There are three easy methods to becoming a dues-paying member of the Palisades Residents’ Association:

The Palisades Residents Association board has decided to decrease the number of issues of the Palisades Perspective newsletter. We were mailing out three issues a year in April, August and December. Our total income from memberships and advertising basically covered the costs for producing and mailing the newsletter leaving little left over for neighborhood improvement projects.

We will be moving most of our communications with the residents to electronic means — the website and our periodic PRA E-News e-mails. News will be delivered in a more timely manner. Remember to check the website often and contact us to make sure your name is in our e-mail address book. We do not share your contact information with anyone other than the Palisades Residents Association board of directors.

Look for the next issue of the Palisades Perspective delivered to your mailboxes in December.

New & Renewing Members

Anyone who lives in the Palisades neighborhood, whether homeowner or renter, is considered to be a member of the association.  You don’t have to pay dues, but it helps when our volunteers don’t have to dip into their pockets to pay association expenses.

Since our last newsletter, the Palisades Residents Association has received dues from the following persons in our neighborhood.  Some sent checks for $15, the cost of an annual membership, while others donated as much as $50, all which we greatly appreciate!
