Terry Miller relays questions from the audience to the annual meeting speakers.

This year’s Palisades Residents Association annual meeting had a record attendance. Topics such as the proposed South Region High School #15 at Angels Gate and the Clearwater Program were a big draw.

The chosen 4–8 acre site will have between 50 to 100 truck trips per day for seven (7) years to bring in equipment and remove dirt. The Palisades locations being considered are White Point Nature Preserve, Royal Palms Beach and Angels Gate Park.

The Future of San Pedro Parks

Filed under: Angels Gate, Events, Point Fermin, Royal Palms, White Point — Jeniffer January 24, 2008 @ 2:19 pm

Tonight there is a public meeting sponsored by the Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks to find out how you feel about the parks and recreation space in Los Angeles, specifically San Pedro. The meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. at Peck Park Auditorium, 560 N. Western Ave. in San Pedro. Whether you are for open space, youth sports or (gasp!) both here is your opportunity to help the parks department with their five year plan.

If you cannot attend the meeting there will be a second meeting February 11th in Wilmington. You can also fill out a simple 8-question online survey which can take less than 15 minutes of your time. Community input needs to be received before the end of February so act now.
